I just booked a four month trip to South-East Asia (arriving and departing in Bangkok.) I am very excited! I am especially interested in seeing Vietnam, but I do not actually know anyone who has been there before. I have been to Thailand when (1 month) and loved it. I just had a couple of questions aimed at former Vietnam/Thailand travelers.

1) I really enjoyed Koh Samui in Thailand. How dose Nha Trang in Vietnam examine relative to Koh Samui? (Nightlife, Beaches, Other Travelers, Locals, Security, Hassles, Climate.)

2) Is the visitors in Ho Chi Minh City as dangerous as folks say? How dose Ho Chi Minh City evaluate relative to Bangkok (Neighborhood Attitudes, Nightlife, Accommodation, Charges, Climate, Others)?

3) What are some other great spots to see in Vietnam? Is Vietnam a very good location for the solo traveler? Is getting a two month visa to Vietnam challenging?

I am 19 year-old male on a modest budget. My rough itinerary is to invest the first two months in Bangkok & Chang Mai, and then head to Vietnam for my last two months. My trip begins on Jan three and goes til the end of April.

Why you do not take into account Cambodia rather of Vietnam? In my viewpoint it is a much a lot more exciting and stunning country, friendlier folks and all round it is much better worth for your money.
