Phuket Gazette Thailand question by Siw: Phuket: shocking story. What are your thoughts?
What do you believe of this story and the way the locals acted?
From the Phuket Gazette…
PHUKET: An unconscious woman was found yesterday morning on a Phuket roadside, naked from the waist down with blood pouring from her head.
The 58-year-old, whose name is undisclosed, may possibly have been raped, Thalang Police Lt Col Weerayut Sittirattanakul said.
At about 5am yesterday morning, Thalang Police received a report of a lady lying unconscious close to a parked motorbike on the side of Srisoonthorn Road, about 3km west of the Heroines’ Monument.
Neighborhood residents stated they had earlier heard an “accident” and came out to see what had happened, Lt Col Weerayut stated.
“They saw 1 man lying unconscious on the side of the road. One more man, who [witnesses said] seemed to be drunk, was fighting with the woman. The witnesses then went back into their houses,” he stated.
“Later they identified her lying unconscious and referred to as the police.”
The two men have been a lot more than 30 years old, witnesses said.
The lady had a deep wound to her appropriate eyebrow and bruising in between her chest and stomach.
“It’s not clear no matter whether she got these wounds from a motorbike accident or if an individual hit her with a blunt object,” Lt Col Weerayut stated.
Police will await a doctor’s report to see if the victim had also been raped, he added.
The lady may have had an accident with yet another motorbike and then got into a battle or was robbed, Lt Col Weerayut said.
The lady lived in nearby Bang Jo and went to the Tha Reua Market place via Srisoonthorn Road daily, Lt Col Weerayut mentioned.
“This stretch of road is really curvy and there are constantly accidents and robberies here, so we plan to put a police box in the location,” he said.

The truth that the locals heard an accident went out looked and left the scene to do absolutely nothing is a shame. What incorrect with folks these days?
Have you had experiences like this in Thailand?

Shocking story, yes, but possibly the locals didnt know what to do, or had been frightened and fled. Nothing is incorrect with them, and you may possibly be insulting the Thais, so please watch your language.
