This is Tonsai Bay, the &quotdowntown&quot location of Phi-Phi Don. This is the bigger of the two Phi-Phi islands and has a few shops/hotels/bars, etc. Phi-Phi is about 28 miles East of Phuket. This shot was taken from a height of 600 feet. The tsunami hit both sides of this strand simultaneously and so the buildings you can see are all new – the old ones have been flattened.
