(<< Rewind <<) chapter 11: winter 2007
A conversion lead me to believe of what I was carrying out in during winter 2007, and it was the trip with family members to Chao Lao beach, Chanthaburi, Thailand.
It was the very first time that I get to use SLR camera. The camera was in this drawer for years, and I have in no way observed anybody at property, in Bangkok, use it prior to. Later I found out that it is my mother’s camera, it was Nikon F3 SLR Camera. So I took it out from the drawer, spent a few hour to realize how it work, and how to open the casing to change battery and film roll. To be truthful, it took me a even though to figure out how with the assist from net. Then I took the camera to the shop to get battery and some films and also to ask the sale representative about the camera. At the shop, they have been surprise to see the camera because it is really old, older than me, it was from 1980.Right after understanding some notion and function about the SLR, I bought with me 4 rolls of 36 photographs films.
I utilised 4 rolls in two days during the trip. The unfortunate portion of this is that, much more than half of the image from the films have been lousy due to Underneath or Over Exposure since I didn’t know how to use SLR camera. Anyway, with frustration, I choose to get a DSLR, Canon Rebel Xsi right after I graduated from SCI_Arc, Southern California Institute of Architecture. The camera, effectively half of it because I paid for half of it, is a present for the graduation… and since of this present, gift, it accompany me each and every where I go, recording pieces of my memory from here and there.
Life is complete of distraction, activities, and lovely memories. Unless of course we can capture and share all the moments in life with this tiny brain of our, until then photography is the only strategy that I know how to share those moments with everyone.
*The image was not taken from the SLR nor was it take by me. It was taken with Sony Ericsson W810i, camera-phone. Thank you the photographer, for this lovely moment.
