Here I want to share some of my ideas, going from personal experience.

1.marketing in Thailand; here I thing that most perspective ideas still waiting for us.
2.real estate; I want to write just few resort marketing examples. Its resorts for rent on Koh Phangan:
– Resort in Haad RIn, 100 meters from the beach of Full-Moon party and most attractive price in that area! 5 Rai, fantastic view, 20 fan bamboo bungalows (cheap, 250 THB per night), restaurant, view-point & bar – all it for 600,000 THB/year. From 10 to 20 years rent available.

– East of Koh Phangan, and low price resort business. Ocean view, 5 Rai, 8 bungalows (fan) with restaurant. 250,000 THB per year and 3-15 years rent available. Best place for yoga, healing or other retreat.
Simple calculation shows that with controlled management its easy to make 40-100 % yearly profit.

Travel services. We still have lots of not-developed places. Investors are ready – need just “man with the plan”!
Even people, who living in Koh Phangan or coming here often, sometimes surprised about existing “second” Haad Yao – on the east side of the island – just a month ago the only way to get there was a boat taxi from Haad Rin. But now we have a road! Currently its a dirty road, very rough and more or less suitable only with 4 WD and with experienced driver… But we have it, and one day (planned on the next year) it will be concrete!

Anyway, Haad Yao east is one of the most untouched and beautiful beach of Koh Phangan – expect to meet just few people on the empty beach with just 1 “old style” bungalow resort on the left side of the coast.

If you are looking for an unspoiled tropical paradise look no further than Koh Phangan, located just three hours by sea from the mainland of Thailand.  Phangan is quite close to Koh Samui in miles, but very distant in character.  While Koh Samui is developed and commercialized, Phangan is more relaxed and still harbors a natural splendor.  You will notice some development on Phangan, but for the most part it is just small enclaves of bungalows and the natural beauty of the island has not yet been spoiled.

Phangan Island is still a popular destination for backpackers and budget travelers, well known for its Full Moon Party the majority of young travelers see Phangan as one of the highlights of their time in Thailand. The party takes place at the southern end of the island in the town of calledHaad Rin, an unbelievable party spot consisting of criss-crossed side streets crammed with clubs, eating spots and souvenier shops, hotels to suit every budget and above all else the amazing Haad Rin Nok beach. At the time of the full moon, Haad Rin is jammed to the gills with revelers and advanced reservations are necessary if you wish to stay in Haad Rin during the full moon.

Once you depart Thongsala and travel further north you will notice a severe change in the pace of life, everything is quieter here with only occasional houses appearing and small village settlements with local shops. The settlements of Wok Tum and Hing Kong are particularly lazy; both great locations for somebody looking for a longer term stay on Koh Phangan.

The distant northern reaches of the island are where the scuba divers come to take advantage of easy access to the reefs from the beach.  Both Haad Salad and Haad Yao are reknowned for their warm clear waters and teeming marine life.  You can also walk from here, via a sandbar to the island of Koh Ma, where snorkelers can have sights usually reserved for scuba divers.

On the northern end of Koh Phangan you will find Chaloklam, a squid fishing village with a amazing half moon beach. The seafood here is exceptional, brought straight from the sea each morning. At night you can see the lights of the multitude of squid boats that ply the waters in this area, and later watch them come in with their haul and dry it under the sun whilst you enjoy breakfast at a beachside restaurant.
